Qasim Sabba

Qasim started as an editor eight years ago, and cutting other people's footage taught him what he actually wanted: to make his own. Film school followed, and a rule he still keeps today: he does not direct a film he has not written. Ideas come to him the way they come to everyone, in the shower, in dreams, mid-conversation. The difference is what happens next. He collects the fragments, finds the ones that belong together, and builds them into a world a story can live in.

As CEO and client director, he is the one who takes a business brief and returns with a film idea, a habit sharpened by film challenges including the French Embassy of Bahrain's 48 Hour Film Challenge, where there is no time for a second draft.
